India Budget: Government dividend collections from public sector enterprises are poised to exceed targets for a fifth consecutive year, potentially reaching a new high in 2025-26. Despite strong performance and robust inflows, the Centre will likely maintain its initial Rs 69,000 crore dividend projection due to global and domestic uncertainties. This consistent dividend strength has helped offset weaker disinvestment receipts.
Union Budget: The government’s dividend collections from non-financial central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) and entities where it holds minority stakes may exceed the budgeted target for a fifth consecutive year in 2025-26 and scale a fresh high, people aware of the matter said.
