The Chief Minister also flagged off the upgradation of a 18.50-km road stretch from NH-202 at Lamlai to Thoubal Dam at Napet Palli. The project, supervised by the Public Works Department, is part of a road network linking NH-202 (Imphal-Ukhrul road) and NH-102(A) (Shangshak-Tengnoupal road). The work is expected to be completed within a year.

The Science and Arts Block at Moirangpurel Higher Secondary School was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.78 crore under Samagra Shiksha Manipur and implemented by the Education Engineering Wing. The infrastructure includes classrooms, laboratories, a library, separate toilets for boys and girls, and a rainwater harvesting system.

The Model Residential School, funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs under PMJVK, was built at a cost of approximately Rs 25.62 crore.

The Itham Moirangpurel Bridge, constructed over the Thoubal River at a distance of 2.10 km under Keirao Bitra Block, was sanctioned at Rs 645.84 lakh under PMGSY-I. The project was executed by M/s NDS Construction, a Special Class contractor.

Addressing the gathering at Moirangpurel Higher Secondary School, Singh said the institution had been unable to function optimally due to a shortage of teachers. He assured that necessary steps would be taken to address the issue.
