Land purchase directly from owners

To avoid years of legal delays, Haryana has adopted the same direct land purchase model used for the Old Gurugram Metro extension. A 10-member committee headed by the Gurugram District Deputy Commissioner will negotiate fair market prices directly with landowners, with no forced takeovers or lengthy court proceedings involved.

10-member committee formed

The land acquisition committee includes senior officers from Gurugram Metro Rail Limited, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, the local Municipal Corporation, and the Revenue, Town Planning, and PWD departments. Their job is to finalise deals quickly so track construction can begin without delays.

13 stations across the route

Phase 1 will have 13 stations covering Delhi and Haryana. Delhi stations include Sarai Kale Khan, Jorbagh, Munirka, Aero City, and Rajiv Chowk. Gurugram and Rewari stations include Cyber City, IFFCO Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Kherki Daula, Manesar, Pachgaon, Bilaspur, and Dharuhera.

Sarai Kale Khan, main hub

Sarai Kale Khan will serve as the main interchange station for all Namo Bharat corridors, giving passengers direct connectivity with Delhi Metro, railway stations, airports, and inter-state bus terminals. It will allow smooth movement across different RRTS corridors without changing systems. business-standard
