UP Cabinet clears ₹8,586-cr expressway linking Jewar Airport with Ganga Expressway

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the construction of a 74.5-km access-controlled greenfield expressway connecting Noida International Airport at Jewar with the Ganga Expressway via Bulandshahr.

The six-lane corridor, which can be expanded to eight lanes in the future, will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹8,586 crore.The proposal received final clearance at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

According to the state government’s statement, the project will improve connectivity between Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr, while strengthening access to Noida International Airport. The entire project will be funded by the Uttar Pradesh government, with no financial participation from the Centre.The expressway is expected to accelerate industrial development by facilitating the establishment of industries along the corridor. It is also likely to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities and contribute to economic growth in the adjoining districts.
