UP to host over 200 Japanese delegates at UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is set to host more than 200 Japanese business leaders, CEOs, industry representatives and policymakers at the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026, scheduled from August 18 to 23, as the state looks to deepen economic ties  with Japan and convert growing investor interest into projects, technology partnerships and jobs.

The delegation will be led by Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, ..and the five-day programme, organised by Invest UP, will bring Japanese companies together with senior government representatives, Indian businesses and academic institutions across New Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Greater Noida and Varanasi.

The engagement comes amid Uttar Pradesh’s renewed strategic outreach to Japan and is focused on translating investment discussions into industrial projects, joint .. ventures, technology collaborations and employment opportunities across manufacturing , clean energy, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, skills, tourism and allied sectors.
