Data to apparel : YEIDA nod for Rs 12200 crore project along Yammuna Expresway

Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) handed over letters of intent (LoIs) to four companies on Thursday for projects spanning integrated packaging, hyperscale data infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and apparel exports, with a combined proposed investment of about Rs 1,220 crore and employment potential of over 7,000 people.Officials clarified the letters have been issued as in-principle approval and do not constitute final land allotment. State govt approval is still awaited before the actual allotment is completed and the lease deed is executed.

GNIPL, a subsidiary of Singapore-headquartered (USEL), was issued an LoI for 50 acres in Sector 8D under Master Plan 2041 to set up an integrated packaging hub with a proposed investment of Rs 750 crore. The LoI was handed over in the presence of GNIPL director Prashant Mukherjee.The proposed ‘Universal Packaging Hub’ will be developed as a multi-project integrated packaging campus catering to fast-growing domestic and export markets in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), pharmaceuticals, e-commerce and industrial sectors. The project is expected to generate employment for over 6,000 people.Officials said the project’s proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport will provide strong multimodal connectivity and access to evolving logistics infrastructure, enhancing its competitiveness as a regional distribution and manufacturing centre.
