Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train: BEML Bags Rs 5,400 Crore Order From NHSRCL For Supply, Maintenance Of High Speed Rolling Stock, Allied Works

BEML Limited has secured an order worth over Rs 5,400 crore from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) for the supply and maintenance of high-speed rolling stock and allied works for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor.

The NHSRCL is the implementing agency for the 508 Km bullet train project.

The company disclosed the order in a stock exchanges filing today (18 September).

The deal covers the supply and maintenance of high-speed rolling stock, along with allied works, for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor, which will run about 508 kilometres between Mumbai and Ahmedabad and is set to be the country’s first bullet train line.

The order gains significance as BEML is also manufacturing India’s first indigenous high-speed bullet train, codenamed the B28, at its specialized Aditya High-Speed Rail Complex in Bengaluru.
