The decision was taken at a meeting of the District Ayush Committee chaired by deputy commissioner Ajay Nath Jha on Monday. Reviewing Ayush services and healthcare infrastructure in the district, Jha directed district Ayush officer to prepare a proposal for operating the Panchakarma building under the PPP model and submit it through deputy development commissioner.
DC also asked civil surgeon AB Prasad to expedite steps for making the burn unit functional. Officials were directed to identify two acres of land for a proposed health cottage at a location with good road connectivity and easy public access.To strengthen outreach, Jha directed officials to conduct Vayu Mitra activities in all blocks and expand access to Ayush-based healthcare services. He also instructed yoga centres to regularly share photographs of their activities with district authorities and the public relations department.
“The administration has also decided to intensify camp-based Ayush services, with special health camps for senior citizens to be organised during the third week of every month at all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs,” DC said.
