Vikram Solar, a solar PV manufacturer, on Monday said it has bagged a 400-megawatt (MW) module supply contract from a premier engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company in India.

According to a recent press release, the major one-time domestic order is designed to power a large portfolio of decentralised agricultural-feeder solar projects spread across multiple locations in Maharashtra. Although the company did not disclose the exact financial value of the deal in its regulatory filing, the sheer scale of the 400 MW mandate represents a boost for India’s clean energy transition.Under the terms of the agreement, the Kolkata-headquartered firm will deploy its high-efficiency N-Type TOPCon G12R solar modules. These advanced panels deliver a robust power output of 620 Wp and feature cutting-edge glass-to-glass, bifacial technology equipped with half-cut cells.

The press release noted that the supply of these modules is scheduled to kick off in October 2026, with the entire execution of the order slated for completion by March 2027.By generating power closer to rural consumption centres, these decentralised renewable energy projects aim to directly improve day-to-day energy access for local farmers. The press release highlighted that agricultural feeder solarisation will play a critical role in supporting greater grid resilience and advancing India’s broader energy-security objectives.Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Solar, emphasised that progressive programmes like MSKVY 2.0 are bringing the tangible benefits of solar power directly to farming communities.

“Supplying modules for projects of this scale across Maharashtra reflects the confidence placed in Vikram Solar’s advanced G12R TOPCon technology and our ability to support large, geographically distributed solar deployments,” Chaudhary said.

“As India continues to expand its renewable energy infrastructure, we remain committed to delivering high-performance solar solutions that support energy security, strengthen domestic manufacturing and contribute meaningfully to the country’s clean energy ambitions,” Chaudhary added.
