Invest UP, Invest India deepen partnership to boost investments, FDI inflow into Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh’s investment promotion agency, Invest UP, and the Centre’s national investment facilitation body, Invest India, have agreed to strengthen collaboration to attract greater domestic and foreign investments into the state, as part of efforts to accelerate industrial growth and project implementation.The decision was taken during a high-level meeting in Lucknow attended by Invest India Managing Director and CEO Nivruti Rai and senior officials of Invest UP, including CEO Vijay Kiran Anand.

The discussions focused on identifying new investment opportunities across key sectors, enhancing investor outreach, and improving coordination between state and national investment promotion agencies. Both organisations also explored joint strategies to attract higher Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows and facilitate faster execution of investment projects in Uttar Pradesh.Rai presented an overview of India’s evolving investment landscape, highlighting emerging sectoral opportunities, investor expectations and best practices adopted by leading investment destinations. The presentation also covered the progress of major investment projects across states and potential areas where Uttar Pradesh could strengthen its competitive positioning.Officials said the partnership would focus on streamlining investor facilitation mechanisms, strengthening aftercare services and ensuring seamless support for investors throughout the project lifecycle.

“Both organisations are committed to leveraging their respective strengths and expertise to position Uttar Pradesh among India’s most preferred investment destinations,” officials familiar with the discussions said.

The meeting assumes significance as Uttar Pradesh seeks to build on the momentum generated by recent investment commitments and translate them into on-ground projects, manufacturing capacity and employment generation.

Apart from Anand, the meeting was attended by Additional CEOs Prerna Sharma and Shashank Chaudhary, along with senior officials from Invest UP and Invest India.The strengthened collaboration is expected to further reinforce Uttar Pradesh’s investment ecosystem and support the state’s long-term economic growth ambitions by attracting greater domestic and global capital.
