Infrastructure push brings Faridabad back on homebuyers’ radar

Long overshadowed by Gurugram and Noida, Faridabad is emerging as a strong contender in the National Capital Region’s residential market, aided by improving connectivity, a diversified industrial base and a pipeline of large infrastructure projects that are beginning to reshape the city’s urban landscape

Industry experts say Faridabad’s growth has been more gradual than its neighbouring cities, driven by manufacturing and industrial activity before expanding into residential townships and social infrastructure. Unlike markets that witnessed rapid growth, the city has evolved around an established economic base, supported by employment hubs, schools, hospitals and commercial development.

The operational KMP Expressway, Faridabad bypass road, Faridabad’s improved connectivity to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Delhi Metro’s violet line extending to Ballabhgarh have already enhanced regional connectivity.

Market observers say that the operational Noida International Airport at Jewar is also expected to strengthen the region’s logistics and industrial ecosystem, with improved connectivity likely to support residential and commercial development.

Integrated townships drive residential growth

Developers are increasingly focusing on large township projects rather than standalone residential developments as homebuyers seek better-planned communities with social infrastructure and open spaces.

“Delhi-NCR continues to lead in housing price appreciation. Within this regional upswing, after Gurugram and Noida, Faridabad has emerged as a high-potential micro-market, driven by accelerated infrastructure development and dramatically

improved connectivity across the NCR,” Mohit Malhotra, Founder & CEO of NeoLiv, a realty firm, said.
