Telangana Deputy CM Announces Infrastructure Overhaul: 45 Projects Valued Above Rs 20,000 Crore Underway In Hyderabad

The capital city of Telangana is experiencing a major infrastructure development phase, with over 45 initiatives collectively valued at more than Rs 20,000 crore presently in progress, announced Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday (6 February), The Hindu reported.

While addressing attendees at the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 inauguration, the Deputy Chief Minister detailed that the ongoing works include underpasses, major road widening projects and multi-level flyovers at key junctions.

He noted that infrastructure investments in Hi-Tec City, enhancements to the southern corridor, and development of new growth corridors are designed to promote balanced expansion between the city’s central areas and its outskirts.

Vikramarka emphasised that forward-looking strategies, including the Blue Green Master Plan and the Comprehensive Mobility Plan, prioritise environmentally sustainable and climate-adaptive urban development.

Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Hyderabad’s growth is founded on its inclusive and cosmopolitan heritage that dates back to the Nizam era. He added that the administration has introduced streamlined digital approval systems and adopted forward-looking measures to ease departmental clearances, including those related to irrigation.

Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao revealed substantial revenue growth in the state’s registration sector.
