Uttar Pradesh government has started the land acquisition process for the proposed Greenfield Link Expressway, which will improve connectivity in western Uttar Pradesh. The expressway will pass through several parts of Bulandshahr district and is expected to benefit thousands of residents and farmers. Once completed, the road will connect the upcoming Noida International Airport with the Ganga Expressway, creating a faster travel corridor. The project is also expected to support industrial growth and strengthen transport links in the region.

Land acquisition for the project is currently underway under the supervision of Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority. The government has approved Rs 1204 crore for the acquisition. Around 677 hectares of land will be acquired for the expressway. According to officials, nearly 8700 farmers across 39 villages will be affected by the process. Compensation rates for the land will be decided by the district administration, and farmers are expected to receive payments significantly higher than existing circle rates.

Several villages in Khurja tehsil are among the first to be impacted by the project. These include Amanullapur, Inayatpur, Kapna, Bhagwanpur and Hasanpur Laduki. Authorities are also identifying villages in other tehsils where land will be required. The expressway alignment has been planned carefully to minimise disruption while ensuring efficient connectivity between major highways and the airport.

Regional Coverage

Apart from Khurja, the project will also affect villages in Bulandshahr, Siana, Shikarpur and Anupshahr tehsils. Officials are finalising the complete list as the land acquisition process moves forward. The proposed corridor is expected to transform the region into an important economic zone by improving transportation and encouraging investment.
