Noida plans a 2 km elevated road extension to ease congestion between Delhi and Greater Noida, improving daily commute and traffic flow. Daily travel between Delhi and Noida could soon become smoother. Authorities are planning a new elevated road in Noida to tackle heavy congestion and improve traffic flow on one of the busiest commuter corridors Officials have proposed extending the upcoming Chilla Elevated Road. The new stretch will connect the descending ramp to the Sector-94 roundabout, helping vehicles move seamlessly towards the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The proposed extension will span around 2 kilometres. Authorities expect it to ease congestion near Film City and other high-traffic zones, offering much-needed relief to daily commuters navigating crowded city roads. The Chilla Elevated Road is already under construction. This 5.96-kilometre corridor will link the Mayur Vihar flyover in Delhi to an area near the Mahamaya flyover in Noida, improving intercity connectivity. Once completed, the corridor aims to cut travel time significantly. It is expected to reduce pressure on surrounding roads and streamline movement for thousands who commute daily between Delhi and Noida. Despite the ongoing project, commuters heading towards Greater Noida still face heavy traffic on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The extension is designed to address this gap and improve onward connectivity. Currently, Noida has only two elevated roads in use. Authorities believe this new extension could transform traffic movement, making travel smoother between Delhi, Noida, and Greater Noida for thousands of commuters.
