The project has an estimated cost of INR 85.5 crore. If approved and constructed on schedule, it could significantly improve movement along the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) route.

The plan is to build the underpass right below the Parthala cable-stayed bridge. Officials estimate the stretch will run for nearly 710 metres and support six lanes of traffic. At the moment, vehicles travelling along the FNG corridor have to pass through the rotary above. During rush hour, that roundabout often slows everything down.
That separation is expected to reduce delays.
