The project will be carried out by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority across 44 villages, covering around 14,480 hectares of land. The plan aims to provide housing for nearly 14 lakh people and is expected to generate about 10 lakh job opportunities.

The New Agra project will focus on non-polluting industries within the Taj Trapezium Zone. Key sectors include tourism and IT, along with manufacturing, handicrafts, food processing, textiles, and sports goods. The area will also feature theme parks, amusement parks, and adventure zones to boost tourism.

New Agra will benefit from excellent connectivity through the Yamuna Expressway and the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. It will also be located about 120 km from the Noida International Airport, with plans for high-speed rail connectivity between the two.

A dedicated cargo corridor linking Agra and Jewar Airport via key routes will ensure smooth goods transport without adding pressure on road traffic. Integration of rail, road, and air transport systems is also planned to support industrial growth.
