Odisha Reviews Major Road Projects Including Raghunathpur-Trisulia Elevated Corridor, Ring Roads And Flyovers

The Odisha government has reviewed the progress of several major road projects planned across Bhubaneswar and other parts of the state, with a focus on clearing delays and moving approved works towards implementation.

Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan chaired the meeting and stressed the importance of completing the projects within planned timelines.

The Raghunathpur-Trisulia elevated corridor and the proposed elevated road between Studio Chhak and Nuagaon were among the projects reviewed.

Officials also examined the status of the Pipili-Konark road project and the first and third phases of the Daya West Canal road development.

The review included project preparations, pending approvals and the schedules for taking the works forward.

Proposed new alignments for the Bhubaneswar Inner Ring Road and Outer Ring Road were also discussed.

The meeting further looked at the long-pending Kalpana Square flyover and a proposed elevated road to improve connectivity towards Puri.

Works Department Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh reviewed the progress of individual projects and asked officials and chief engineers to speed up land acquisition and resolve issues holding up construction.

They were also directed to accelerate the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) for projects where they are still required.
