Rajasthan is preparing to move its first greenfield expressway into the construction phase, with bids for the 210-km Kishangarh-Kotputli corridor scheduled to be invited in November, according to a report by TOI.

The project is being handled by the Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation (RSRDC).

The expressway is intended to ease pressure on the Jaipur-Ajmer Expressway and the Delhi-Jaipur highway (NH-48), where traffic volumes have increased over the past two to three years.

The project was announced on 10 July 2024 by Finance and Public Works Minister Diya Kumari as part of a state plan to develop nine greenfield expressways.

In September 2025, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma approved the Kishangarh-Kotputli and Beawar-Bharatpur corridors for construction.

Tenders for the Beawar-Bharatpur expressway are likely to be issued within three to four months, the TOI report added.

Of the other proposed corridors, RSRDC will develop Jaipur-Bhilwara, Ajmer-Banswara, Sri Ganganagar-Kotputli and Jalore-Jhalawar. The National Highways Authority of India will take up the Jaipur-Pachpadra and Bikaner-Kotputli routes.
