Indo–US Interim Trade Framework (2026)

India and the US have agreed on an interim trade framework to reset bilateral trade relations and pave the way for a comprehensive Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA). The framework focuses on tariff rationalisation, improved market access, reduction of non-tariff barriers, and deeper cooperation on supply chains, technology, energy and advanced manufacturing. It aims to enhance export competitiveness, investor confidence and scale bilateral trade towards USD 500 billion+ in the coming years
